The project is divided into 3 parts:

  1. Universal Art and Design Education Framework (Publication)

  2. Melcombe Primary School Afternoon Artclub (Event)

  3. Amateur Artist Collection (Design)

  1. Universal Art and Design Education Framework

The project started with an investigation of eastern and western art and design education. The different approaches and practices have significant effect differing the learning outcomes and the development of the students, which records in the contextual report, An Exploration of Methods and Steps in Creative Process: From the Perspective of an East-West Designer

The research analyzed on how methods and steps are constructed and performed in both curriculums. The project established practical Universal Art and Design Education Framework Handbook that help with structuring educational programs for art and design.

2. Melcombe Primary School Afternoon Artclub

In order to test the functionality of the handbook, the final development of the project is organizing a program of art and design simply following the handbook.

This opportunity allows me to host a short-term art program designed using the Universal Art and Design Education Handbook. The aim of the Afternoon Art club is pursuing their interest in art, share their creative endeavors and ideas with other students and building a sense of self-esteem through the program.
